Every year there are new “hot” colors of fall and they mostly come from the Pantone Color Institute’s annual fall color trends forecast. For 2021, they put out a list of trendy tones playfully named to inspire all of us to embrace the wonderful time of year that is fall.

Green Hues

A dark, bold green and a softer, muted olive green make up Pantone’s selection of green hues this year. “Leprechaun” and “Olive Branch” are pleasing greens we’ll likely see in fall fashion and design. You can find similar shades of green in succulents and various greenery, as well as green flowers such as hydrangea, mums, carnations, and orchids.

Blue Hues

Dark and deep shades of blue are on trend according to Pantone. Their Mykonos Blue, Rhodonite, and Spring Lake are gorgeous shades of blue that promote relaxation, serenity, and deep thoughts. Pink Hues

Red Hues

Whether it’s a fire-engine red or brownish-brick red, red is a color that is always popular in fall. Pantone’s “fire whirl” is a bold, dynamic red we’re sure to see on the fall runways. Celebrate the fall with florals that bloom in red like dahlias, mums, red roses, celosia, and carnations.

White Hues

Brown Hues

Pantone’s “adobe” and “root beer” are shades of brown that are very much a part of the autumnal palette. Although there are not that many brown blooms, brown accents still make their way into fall flower arrangements via dark brown centers of sunflowers, branches, seed pods, and leaves.
